Question: Plus size bathing suits? please help =] ?

Sorry, forgot to add I'm a size 18. Another add, I don't have a large chest either. I'm only a 38C. With summer in full swing I really want to actually get out and participate in some of the more usual activities. Swimming being the main concern. I didn't swim even once last year because I've never found a bathing suit I feel even remotely comfortable in. Here's the deal. I'm 5'9 " 230lbs and my legs have the complexion of soap. While I've been able to get out early this year in some tank tops and tan my chest, back and arms, I have thick thighs and fatty knees. I've tried several bathing suits but because they all bunch at my thighs, I get self conscious and give up. I have a fantastic husband who is in the Army so you can understand he's in fantastic shape and wants to do things like going to the pool or beach with me. I live in the Detroit Michigan area, I would rather stay away from the suits that cost as much as a third world country. Any help is greatly appreciated! I think the main think you need to remember-almost no woman feels completely comfortable in a bathing suit, regardless of her shape or size. Also, if you do look around, you'll probably also see that almost no woman does actually look perfect in a suit. Knowing that, there are definitely some tips! Getting from your towel to the water is probably the only really hard part. Just make it quick, then you're covered! Places like Charlotte Russe, JC Penny's, or any department store that isn't exactly name brand are good places to start shopping.

Who cares what other people might think be yourself and enjoy the time with your husband and enjoy the beach. your not going to the beach to impress any one so go for it and find a bathing suit

You could try wearing tighter boy-shorts(go to Chick's sporting goods.
